18 Inch Kids Bike with Training Wheels, Basket and Kickstand, Purple
The largest size in this range gets a kickstand and a 132 lb capacity, up from the 110 lb below it. The maker's chart puts the 18 inch at ages 4 to 8, riders 47.2 to 59.1 inches tall, an inseam of 23 to 26 inches, a saddle of 24 to 27 inches and a bike weight of 25 lb.

Two different age bands on one page
The title and the chart disagree
This listing says 3 to 8 years in the title while the maker's own size chart gives 4 to 8 for an 18 inch wheel. A three year old on this size would not reach the ground.
Go by the chart and the inseam
The saddle bottoms out at 24 inches and the maker asks for a 23 to 26 inch inseam. Measure the leg and use those numbers rather than either age band.
The bike
A purple frame with cartoon character graphics on the down tube, a woven basket with a bow on the bars, a padded black saddle and two detachable training wheels.
Rider height before age
The maker's own advice is to consider rider height more than age and to compare the inseam with the saddle height. The 18 inch row reads 47.2 to 59.1 inches tall, a 23 to 26 inch inseam and a 24 to 27 inch saddle.
The fittings at this size
A bell, a mudguard, reflectors and a kickstand. The stand only appears at 18 inches in this range, and it is what stops the bike being dropped on its side.

What we stand behind
- The age band, rider height, inseam, saddle height, bike weight and 132 lb weight capacity are the manufacturer's own published figures.
- No helmet is included. A helmet belongs on every ride, and eight Canadian provinces have helmet legislation, three of them for riders under 18.
- This is a bike for supervised riding on paths, driveways and parks, never on a road.
- No safety certification mark is shown on this listing, so we claim none.
- Ships from our Canadian or United States warehouse, free shipping over $150, and 14 day returns unused in the original packaging.
