Eighty five and a half long

The frame is 85.5 inches long and 64.5 wide for a 60 by 80 inch Queen, with the rail 11 inches off the floor. The headboard at 45.5 inches is the tall part of the profile and it is also the widest.

Studs around a shaped edge

The nailheads follow a stepped, shaped outline rather than a straight line, which is what gives the board its traditional profile. Velvet catches light differently across the tufting, so the pattern reads clearly even in a dim room.

Twelve slats, four centre legs

The deck is embedded between the rails so the mattress cannot slide, and twelve wooden slats run across four rubber wood middle legs. Bolt connections rather than clips, and adjustable pads under each foot.

Overall footprint for a Queen.

Shaped, tufted and studded.

Published under-bed height.

In an embedded deck.

With adjustable foot pads.

Measured at the side rail.

Velvet, nailhead studs and a shaped board rather than a plain modern rectangle.

Five inches is enough for a vacuum to pass but not for storage bins.
